HANOI, VIETNAM – We recently spent a day at the Japanese Culture Exchange Festival, held March 23-26 near Hoan Kiem Lake in downtown Hanoi.

Celebrating the 45th anniversary of Vietnam–Japan diplomatic ties, the event included incredible floral displays with millions of flowers, Yosakoi dance performances by 15 Japanese dance teams, traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, and other cultural activities and displays.

Check out our visual tour in the video below:

    1. It certainly was fun. There were costumed performers all over the place, hundreds of smiling people snapping photos of each other among the brilliant floral displays, and loud music blasting from giant speakers as a soundtrack. Quite the spectacle!
